Sarita Whitcher is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently licensed in Los Angeles, CA. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Southern California (USC) in 2017 and has since worked in diverse clinical settings, including an adolescents and young adults therapy center, private practice, and an outpatient substance addictions program for adults. At the heart of her therapeutic practice, Sarita remains client centered to ensure that each session is purposeful and specifically tailored to the individual. Sarita has experience using a variety of interventions such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Psychoanalytic Theory to name a few, and has worked with individuals experiencing major depression, generalized anxiety, personality disorders, those struggling with addictions, and couples’ therapy. Sarita believes that successful therapy comes from the therapeutic relationship centered on trust and allowing the client personal autonomy to grow into their God ordained gifts through deeper insight and revelation.

Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Sarita grew up in Charleston, SC and attended the University of South Carolina where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Counseling Education. Sarita has also consulted with organizations to implement and sustain screening services for those at risk for addiction, has clinically supervised colleagues in the field, and has worked in ministerial leadership at her church. Outside of her career, Sarita enjoys traveling, Crossfit, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends.
