Dorene is the Director of our Northeast Center, as well as a Certified Life Coach, specializing in working with women, children, and teens. Doreen is a dedicated professional with a profound commitment to empowering individuals and fostering positive change. With an impressive educational background, including an Associate's Degree in Human Services, a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and a Master's Degree in Special Education, Doreen possesses a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and addressing diverse needs. In addition to her academic achievements, Doreen is a Certified Life Coach through the Life Purpose Institute. Currently pursuing Board Certification in Mental Health Coaching, through IBCC (International Board of Christian Care), Dorene continually enhances her skills to better support those facing mental health challenges.

Doreen is passionate about mental health advocacy, particularly in women and youth. She has overcome numerous obstacles in her own life, which motivates her to empower others to overcome adversity and thrive. With years of experience working with adolescents in a residential facility and through programs like “I Can,” where she taught parenting skills to at-risk parents, Doreen has demonstrated her expertise in addressing complex family dynamics and behavioral challenges. Her work with the Persons in Need of Supervision (PINS) program exemplifies her commitment to supporting families in crisis and preventing juvenile delinquency.

Currently, Doreen's work extends to a junior and senior high school setting, where she facilitates a Life Skills Classroom for students with disabilities. In this role, she utilizes her expertise in special education to create inclusive learning environments and empower students to reach their full potential.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Doreen is currently writing a book titled "Faith Along The Mohawk," which explores themes of resilience, faith, and personal growth. Driven by her passion for helping others and her own journey of overcoming challenges, Doreen continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and communities alike.
